Here are our top tips for creating a custom scrapbook cover:

Step 1: Think of your content

What is it that you are looking to fill your pages with? Some people love documenting a special year (for example, creating a pregnancy scrapbook is very popular), whereas others enjoy creating a travel scrapbook, filled with memories of a special trip and others make a scrapbook based on an event, such as a wedding. Once you have your inspiration, start gathering your scraps. These can include anything from photos and love notes to tickets and post-it notes!

Step 2: Decide how you want to organize your scrapbook

You can go as simple or as elaborate as you want when making a scrapbook. We suggest thinking about how you want the final project to look, and who it is for. If this is a project just to fulfill your inner creative, then you can be as scrappy as you like, if, however, this is to highlight a special occasion, then you might want a little more order. Gather everything together and make a rough plan of how you want the layout and order to look.

Step 3: Choose your size and layout

At Bags of Love, we offer the custom scrapbook album in 3 sizes:

Small - 8.5" x 6.5"
Medium - 9" x 12.5"
Large - 13" x 13.5"

You can also choose to have mounts or no mounts and if you want a slip case included or not. 

Step 4: Create a design for the front and back cover

Once you have chosen your size, you can then create your design for the front and back of your scrapbook. Again, think about:

• Who the scrapbook is for
• What event or occasion you want to preserve
• Do you want to include text on the cover?
• Do you want to keep the look simple or more homemade?
• How many photos do you want to include?

With our design interface, you can add as many photos as you want to the front and back cover, or, you can scale it back and just add a single, powerful photo to best showcase your theme. You can also add text to your design, which is perfect for naming and dating your scrapbook. Have fun creating a bunch of different designs and then go for your favorite.

Step 5: Fill your scrapbook and make memories

When we have finished making your scrapbook by hand (this usually takes 2-3 working days), we will send it out to you and you can start filling it! Have fun and let us know how you get on.

We make the albums in three sizes:

Small: 8.5" x 6.5" ideal for 6" x 4" photos with internal album page size 8" x 6", 60 sides

Medium: 9" x 12.5" (up to 8" x 6" photos) with internal album page size: 8.5" x 12", 60 sides

Large: 13" x 13.5" (up to 10" x 8" photos) with internal album page size 12" x 12" and 100 sides.
