All the lighters with face on them benefit from the famous Zippo® lifetime guarantee. The majority of the internal parts are replaceable, for example, the flint, spring, wadding and wick. As these wear down, simply swap them out and continue to use your lighters with face on them. Avoid putting in your pocket alongside keys or other objects which could cause damage to the surface of your lighter. Do not drop, especially on outside floors. Avoid splashing lighter fluid onto the printed area. Your face lighter is durable and scratch-resistant, but if undue force is applied or sharp or pointed objects are used then it is possible to scratch it. This is how we dooo it

Cue the music! Once you design your perfect face lighter, we do our thang. A team of highly trained monkeys receives your design and prints it using a specialist metal ink transfer process. This technique gives you a great scratch resistant design and resists most pocket abuse. As long as your lighter with face on it isn't in too close contact with a particularly sharp set of keys and you're not throwing it around, then it should look pretty fresh. The Zippo lighter is made from a high-quality brass which is then dipped into nickel to give you a smooth finished to personalize.

There are a few things about this entire process that will affect the way your lighter looks - positively, of course. For starters, we leave room all the way around your design so that it doesn't quite meet the edges of the lighter. This is intentional to give your design a classic framed look. Secondly, the white parts of your image remain unprinted so that your image has an 'etched' effect as if it has been etched into the lighter. Pretty cool, right?
